I have had a great time sharing thoughts and information on this forum for almost seven years now. But I have come to the conclusion that the administration here will continue to allow trolls to drag the names of good companies and individuals through the mud, and I choose to no longer associate myself with this site.

I hope I have been of some help to the members here and wish you all well. Continue to enjoy the fine knives offered by CRK in the best of health, and I’m sure I’ll see some of you on the other knife related websites.

I respect you and I enjoy your posts but I think you are being a bit hasty. Sit back, relax, and think about whether you will allow yourself to be beaten by the troll. If the matter bothers you that much then send an email to Spark expressing your displeasure before you just up and leave.
 
I know where you are comming from. I hope the new rep point system will help. I remember when a group split off to the USN. It relieved a bit here. This is a knife forum. I am limiting myself to Buck ,CR, and Multitool forums.
If you express an opinion different from the otheres ,there is no discussion,just name calling.

You've been around here from the beginning and have always been a positive presence. I hope that you change your mind about this. Sometimes the wind blows across the cesspool for a while here and makes things unpleasant, but eventually the wind will shift. Don't let a few small minded numbskulls ruin the fellowship and fun you can have with the majority. That would make them victorious in the same way the terrorists in the world win when we lose our freedoms because of their actions. If you can work backstage you can take just about anything.

I haven't been to General yet today so I guess I may find out what is going on when I do

I am sorry to see you go, if that is your decision. I am one who has enjoyed your input and expertise on CRK knives, and I agree with those who would rather not see the trolls win.

Whatever your decision, thanks for the memories, and I am sure I will see you here or on the other forums.

I'll be sorry not to see your posts here--as I have learned lots regarding Sebenzas from you. Furthermore, you have been very pleasant with me when I have invaded your e-mail space with other questions.

You know, there are forums that don't tolerate trolls ;) Amen for them.

You are a class act James. I've enjoyed your post and your knowledge which you are quick to share. I'm not familiar with the situation of which you speak, but I know your posts will be missed here at BF. As Barry H. said, there are other forums that DO NOT tolerate........................ :D :D :D
 
James I hope that in time you will reconsider your decision. I understand that trolls and the like can be frustrating but I still think that BFC is an excellent venue for exchanging meaningful opinions and valuable knowledge. Again, I hope you reconsider and come back. You are appreciated and respected here so don't deprive us of your presence.

As I hope to have facilitated with a recently banned troll, there is always the Ignore List. There are also forums and threads without trolls. Take your choice. You can wallow in what you dislike or you can look at the many other discussions available here.

There are websites out there who do not tolerate trolls, whatever troll might mean to them. One of them recently banned me. :D We like to give disagreement a chance here.

Certainly no one or two discordant voices have any effect on the reputation of a respected company's product, not that leaving us because of them will improve the situation.

But, yes, if you can't stand the heat, you can always move to a cooler climate.
 
I am truly touched by the amount of support I have received over this, thanks to each and every one of you who has taken the time to contact me and post here. I have tremendous respect for Gus, Cougar, Esav and especially K.V. Collucci, who all give their time and effort to Moderate these forums.

I’ve been involved with Bladeforums since the beginning, and have seen too many good people go before their time. I have never thought ignoring a problem solved anything, but walking away from it will only make it worse.

It is the people that make this place what it is. Thank you for reminding me of that.
