James- I did not know what to say in a response to seeing you were leaving for good other than that stinks. To see youare staying is indeed good news! I too have been frustrated by the few persistant "bashers". I have typed many an ugly response only to not post it. Frustratinfg to see fools beating up people and products you know to be good and have value. It is like anything else I believe. We can't let them win! Thanks for staying and God Bless-paul

I am glad things have settled down. Like you, these turkeys who come in here to bash people and knives that they have no experience with bothers me. This holds especially true when it comes to CRK since I consider Chris and Ann friends. At the same time our membership here handles those situations very well for the most part and the truth usually comes out in those threads making the turkey look foolish. (That is why we do not close the threads.)

There have been times when these "attention seekers" have come around and acutally have become members in good standing. We would rather give those types a warning or two than ban them out right, but when the behavior persists we ditch them.

Having been banned from one other forum myself (with the only reason that I can figure out being something I did here), I know other places work differently in banning people. Right or wrong in each individuals eyes, our position here is a little more forgiving as long as there is an effort to participate as a member of the knife community.

I really was having difficulties imagining how this forum and the whole CRK gang could function without your input. You are especially helpful when nubees ask questions that where answered long ago, your patience and direct answers for all of our questions are appreciated. And, we know you speak from experience as a working user, as well as a collector.

I am glad you are sticking around; your posts are usually a bright and informative spot. Don't be too sensitive to trolls stupidity and leave us without one valuable member. Membership at large know a troll when they see one and the trolls ultimately hang themselves given sufficient rope .... or thread, as the case may be!

Glad you're staying, James! If you left, I wouldn't know which specialty CRK purchases to pull the trigger on!
 
I don't know how I missed this thread until now but I found a happy ending as I read it to completion....I remember fondly that you were one of the original innoculators who held me down with their glowing descriptions of CRK's quality and injected me with the CRK serum some 3+ years ago, thereby introducing me to not only the products, but also the friendly family from Boise!!!:cool:
