Farm knife

I'm looking for a super sharp & functional knives for kitchen use. Yangdu recommend farm knife or 15AK. Asking for insights.
Where to get farm knife & how much?
 
First place to check is with Yangdu to see if she has any in stock. I don't recall how much they usually cost but she would have the best answer to that too.

Both the Farm knife or the 15" AK would be for heavy duty serious kitchen work, both quite robust. Many uses, but probably not best for slicing tomatoes and such.
 
I like the Kumar Karda for kitchen work. Slicing vegetables anyway.

I could definitely see the farm knife being a winner.
 
Farm knife is an excellent kitchen knife. I prefer the KLVUK in the kitchen to the AK because of the thinner edge profile. The KK's are nice too. Especially if you can get a thinner/ lighter one.

The Farm Knife is BIG. It could certainly dice veggies, but it's kind of the same way that a 12lb sledge hammer can crack open a pecan.

One of my favorite kitchen knives is the Himalayan Imports Survival Knife. The HISK is made out of a solid piece of steel so is tubular at the handle. It's designed to be a good hiking blade that can be lashed to a staff as a make shift spear. That said, it's wicked sharp as it quite thin for an HI blade. I got mine sharp enough to startle a mater out of its skin;)
 
Yeah, I want a picture too. Don't recollect I ever heard of that one.

I put it next to an M3 Trench Knife for scale;)
 
Hot dang that thing is just too cool!! HI really does have all it's bases covered. Actually..hmm...anyone have an HI Cane Sword? Shavru?? Haven't seen one of those yet haha I bet Kumar could carve a fine cane and fashion a splendid little blade to go in it!

I'm thinking this would be perfect for spear hunting during deer season;)
