Hey guys, I have another rasp knife to show you. This one was made for a friend of mine. The handle is black walnut, from a tree I chopped down and cut up, with brass pins. The guard is made out of a rasp as well. I am looking to make a sheath for this knife, but due to how far the guard extends from the sides of the blade I think that my options of sheath design will be limited. Have any of you made or seen a sheath to accommodate a wider guard? I would love to see/hear about it if you have. I might have to slim the guard down the next time I make a knife like this.

Thanks for looking,

The easiest and one of the most flattering sheath designs for this knife with the wide guard would be a sash carry style with perhaps a flat loop on the back for optional belt carry. The entire guard would be outside the sheath..

A picture is worth a thousand words…………..not necessarily black, but the style shown.

Mexican style sheath, sorry no pics of idea, just a thought.
