Farriers toeing knife, no power tools.

Pretty straight forward by the book process. The one thing that has become wery clear to me is that the sturdier the work bench the cleaner the cuts and the less time spent. I switched from a 80 pound table (gray out door) with clamps to a 400 pound bench (welding tabel) with a vice and the rasps cut 5-10 times faster. Vibrations and slipping work peaces is no doubt the enemy #1. With a solid bench and mount hand tools can be surprisingly fast.

30 minutes of rasping the handle square.

I drilled a 1mm hole through the wood in the start an finnish. Then I made a smal drill out of the 1.4mm wire and traced the pilot hole. Wery easy. The secured the wire with epoxy.

The just a 120 grit finnish on the blad and 180 grit on the walnut and one thin coat of olive oil.
