Just wanted to add that Atienza pops up during accounts that centered on the 1639expedition of the people of the lake. You'll see his name mentioned with Kudarat in many books.

You might say there's some resemblance with Crook. Even the early period Custer before the Black hills. Although not much of his personality is documented.

As per the Dutch, another commodity that was of high importance beyond Spice was wax. There's a chapter dedicated to it in Majul's book.
