Fastest Folder in Your Collection

My fastest knives in my collection are my camilus heat...then my RAT model 1 folder...then my CRKT M1. My paramilitary isn't as fast but is definately the smoothest with the tightest lock up. I am happy to sacrafice the speed for the smoother opening and better fit an finish...

The fastest in my collection is the RAM 1910. It is faster than all my AO's and quite a few automatics I have seen.

Wow, I can't believe that not everyone on here is listing a Benchmade Mini Grip. I have 4 different flavors (556MDP/550HG/555SBTOD/557SBK)... the 556 mdp opens & closes so quick it's like magic.

I have a Kershaw Chive that really flings open quickly too.

For non-auto & non-assisted, I'd have to say the Spyderco P'Kal. You just draw out of your pocket & it's open. Other than that, I'd say a good flipper, A/O, or auto is going to be pretty darn fast.

For flippers, I've found the Kershaw RAM to be great, a broken in Groove isn't bad, either. I also thought the DDR Maxx Q1A was pretty quick & smooth, too.

For A/O, just about anything Kershaw makes works well. Having said that, I have a B/M Nitrous mini-Stryker that's definitely the equal of my Kershaw Random Leek.

For manual openers, both of the custom folders that I own are darn smooth & quick. They're a Bauchop Shaman & a Jim Matthes tanto folder. Great knives.

For me it's my kershaw composite shallot with zdp189 edge. It's thinner than the s110v shallot and it ao-opens faster. My ZT301 is also fast but slower than the shallots.

Perhaps we should all compare 'fastest with flick of wrist' and 'fastest without flick or wrist' cause if I flick my wrist as hard as I can impractically manage then even my m16 CRKT is faster.

Benchmade 710 axis lock. Faster and locks up stronger than any other in my collection. Including autos!

ZT 0500 MUDD folder. Opens like an Emerson.....perfection followed by the hard click of lock up.

This is a custom lever release and lock made with Aircraft Aluminum handles and D2 steel. Made by WT Fuller in the 70's, it is still faster, locks up faster than any knife I have ever handled. This one was WT's personal knife until he made one more auto. He never sold any of his autos that I know of. I was a friend and he allowed me to get his.
