What's your nomination for the fastest opening folder?
No automatics or suchlike allowed.

At the moment mine goes to Mcusta's basic folder series, it's staggeringly good, you can open it almost as fast as a switchblade and so silky SEKI:D

Others please!

Well...excluding the wave feature...
I would definately say the BM axis lock.
My BM 710 I can open at a ridiculous speed and close with the same amount.
This is my favorite lock and IMO the most fun/fast.

I'd say my Benchmade Gravitator...a flick of the wrist and it's opened! Thats not touching the thumbstud either...with rock solid lockup to boot:)

It would be hard to believe that any other folder can open faster than an Endura Wave. If we're not considering the wave feature, anything with an axis lock is pretty damn fast.

Just sampled the Kershaw Groove on a passaround and it opened slick and sure with either hand. Lock was framelock. I have assisted openers that are'nt that smooth or quiet.

Funny that most of you guys say ... "EXCLUDING the WAVE" .... The wave featured folders such as the Emerson line is by FAR the fastest opening folding blade.

Emerson commander,, opens as you pull it out of your pocket.. fun vid on emersons website for those of you that havent tryed it

My Manix with a zip tie "wave" opens faster, smoother, easier, 100% of the time and is easier on the pockets compared to my Commander or Mini Commander.

Hey Guys

I dont know about fastest, but my SOG tomcat is incredibly satisfying to open. It just feels like you could fuck some shit up with it

My Benchmade 805 opens amazingly fast with a light push of my index finger. Next comes my 556 mini-Grip. My 710 is also up there, but not quite as naturally quick as my 805.
