Almost all the dishes that they use to break their daily fast are very sweet. Dried dates, sweetened coconut drinks and sweetened tapioca, like Boba drinks, are the most common. The meal before the fast is their normal breakfast, beef, chicken or fish. rice and/or noodles.
The Ramadan fast is a month long fast from sunrise to sunset and includes a prohibition on drinking water, smoking and thinking impure thoughts.
What they break their fast with is all sugar! Maybe to jump-start their metabolism or something? It still seems a bit excessive. Especially dried fruits and such, which I would think would go right through you!
I have read that it's best to eat protein in the morning and carbs at night, so maybe this is kind of an extreme example of the whole "when to eat what" kind of thing, like "food combining" and stuff.
Maximus, you haven't been being very nice to me lately. What is wrong with you? I thought you liked me...
