Kref,
I can see you are quite knowledgable on the subject of fasting. I need to take a reading comprehension course.
Sometimes the answer stares you in the face! So, thank you for the Dr. Fuhrman link and reminding me about fasting for arthritis. I'm one of those guys that will seek non-medical treatment first. I am having an arthritic flare-up...and I hate taking meds for it. The day will come soon enough, when I'll be on daily meds(no doubt) but until then...I'll keep trying "the first step" approach.
As you say..fasting is only one approach...whereas diet and exercise is a more steady and ongoing method. Lifestyle change is soooo tuff!! Any benefits from fasting is best with the proper "follow up."
My Diastolic blood pressure looms around 90. Long as I maintain a better diet and walk at least 3-4 miles a day...I can keep it closer to 80. For now I'm able to do the needed exercise. It would be easier to do the pills...but I've noticed meds have a certain "trade off."
I was typing with 2 fingers...now I'm typing with 1...(aaaah I'm joking..but my left is aching with arthritis.) Thanks again.
