Uh-oh, what’s this? What’s wrong with this picture?
So, I discovered when I went to put some FK3 blue Ti hardware on to hold these scales, it wasn’t long enough! Even the SS FK2 hardware was a bit short for this thick girl. Yeah, I should have realized this beforehand. Hmm… I made this work for now, a mix of FK2 and FK3 hardware, the longest 3 inserts I could get between the 3 of them.
Now I need to decide what to do here. Heat color the SS hardware and make do with it being a bit too short? Use some extra SDFK hardware? Leave it like this? (Nope lol) Or, paging Mrs. Jo…
Last, another pic on some Alpaca fur. I really didn’t like how the colors turned out though.
And before anyone asks, yes, it still fits in the Kydex sheath. It’s obviously a bit thicker, and so the sheath spreads out a bit more at the mouth, but it works just fine.
