SPOKEN FOR
Had some scrap stainless steel, so I thought I'd forge something besides knives (don't know anything about HT'ing SS anyway).
I remembered reading a while back that some people were interested in monkey's fists with weights in the middle, to make a bit of a self-defense keychain.
So I whipped up the following:
As you see, it's slightly oblong: about 1.75" longest, 1.5" shortest direction.
This sucker is HEAVY. Don't have a scale, but it seems to weigh pretty close to the same as my Buck 110... so 7.4 oz, give-or-take. Tell you what, I wouldn't want to meet half a pound of steel swinging on the end of a cord, not in a dark alley, not in a bright alley, not nowhere.
Whoever wants to add a piece of inconspicuous, somewhat unusual self-defense impact equipment to his gear, email me at mscantrell at gmail.com.
For swap, I'm interested in one-hand folders, like:
Spydies or Byrds
BMs (no tantos, thanks)
Victorinox One-Hand Trekker
Kabar Doziers
And small fixed blades, like:
Becker Necker
A. G. Russell Hunter's Scalpel
Those little Anza skinner models
Queen D2 hunters, especially the rabbit knife
And other things like slipjoints, especially D2 Queens or Bokers in carbon steel.
Thanks for looking!
