I wish I could say it's a KA-BAR, but it has to be this bad boy. The first knife I ever bought with my own money. Early 80s from the local hardware store.
My family was never into camping and outdoors but we settled in a country area with a lot of woods and good sized brook. That knife and I went everywhere for about 5 years. We learned how to clean fish, start fires, whittle, open cans, and generally just get through adolescence.
I lost it sometime in high school.
I found it 20+ years later in a footlocker that had been moved around with me but somehow remained unopened.
A little tlc and this USA made Schrade LB7 is the best Knife I own. This knife and Blue Oyster Cult always bring back a ton of fond memories.
