I haven't yet received the fatty warden ordered Oct 2nd since its away with Rainwalker being fitted for pants. For those of you that have handled these, what are your opinions? Are they too thick to be useful as slicers? Would you recommend one as an EDC or would a 0.14" Warden be a better choice?

A .140 warden is definitly gonna be a better slicer. I use a Fire Warden as an edc now, and it's great. Haven't gotten my fatty yet, but I'm betting I'm gonna continue using the Fire Warden

I agree with MD. My Smog PE and OJ wardens are the ones I usually reach for. .140 on both. My Urban GW, I think it's .200 or .190, I use for utility stuff around the house and the Fatty Red/Black I have coming I haven't determined what I will use it for.

Thrower? :)

The fatties are my favorite so far.
Just ordered a sheath from Chuddy bear.
I think you could dress a dear with it, and then open a can of beans for dinner.:D

I have the punkin, blue/black & black/tan fatties. They would/will make great EDC. Obviously for slicing, the thinner the better. IMHO :-)

For me the fatties are not ideal EDC blades. But they're still suhweet.

My fatty blue/ black came in this morning, and it definitely is fat-as-all-get-out. I did a little light slicing with it (cardboard) and it seems to work fine- better than my sage/ green linen actually. I don't know if I'll EDC it much- it's very heavy for its size. I'll probably stick with my OJ for EDC duty, the blue/black will probably be an air slicer and end up as trade fodder someday.

It is an undeniably beautiful knife, though. Stunning, really.

:confused:The real question is what color to carry?:confused:

Fortunately I think the red/black looks a lot better in person.

Hmm, maybe we could get Jerry to make an INFI bladed blender?

I carry a folder (laminated VG-10) for slicing.

I try not to worry about my fixed blade being rugged enough to "peel a tank" ;), but I do worry about my GW LE (.140) being adequate for that task. I though I tweaked it, busting up a pallet, turned out it was just a subtle difference in the distal taper that I hadn't noticed before.:o

I like these fatty's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
