:confused:The real question is what color to carry?:confused:

I think it depends on what you're wearing

You asked about slicing, and the .140 would be much better. Not to mention lighter to carry of coarse.

The .220 may slice as well as the coated .200's since the coating will cause some drag.

I did order a couple of .220's last Tue and think the Fat short Satin will look very cool:cool:

my one red/one blue satin fattys came today...

very hot imo. the blue is my favorite, though i knew it would be...

Great grind, and fantastic edge... feels stout in the hand like the Satin/Tiger warden

I think I have to add the blue satin to my top 3 warden list... next to Hunter Orange and Black Tie... I love the thin .140"'s but this super fatty is way cool as well..

Still love the Tiger, but G10 is my preference for small blades, over absorptive micarta.

I think I will order a fine leather sheath for her...

I agree - the heft of the fattys feels better in my hand than the OJ I carry around on my belt, but the latter is a better all-rounder for my use.

I haven't yet received the fatty warden ordered Oct 2nd since its away with Rainwalker being fitted for pants. For those of you that have handled these, what are your opinions? Are they too thick to be useful as slicers? Would you recommend one as an EDC or would a 0.14" Warden be a better choice?

I've got 'em all.

the Orange Warden is the best natural slicer ... and it is one of the thinnest (0.14") and a Satin.

But...even my thicker Wardens still slice quite well.

id say the .220's would make decent edc's. of course they wont slice as well as the thinner models.

ive got a .270 se that i probably wouldnt edc. its too heavy.

but it sure is cool!!!!!

I scored two. Measurement at the spine, just past the handle:
Pumpkin 0.222"
Black/Red 0.222"

Weight is 6.75 oz.

For comparison, I also picked up a micarta handled regular GW, it is 0.199" and 5.7 oz.
