Because you are buying into this "Leave no trace, obey the rules, don't disturb the spotted owl" mentality.

Meanwhile, I'm going to be confident that I know how to pluck a spotted owl.

post the pics of our hike Munky and Switchblade. We did NOTHING illegal today. Anyone claiming so can deal with with the legal consequences. I do not take LIBEL lightly.

anyone interested in continuing their accusations that i have participated in illegal activity can contact me. I will be happy to direct them to my family attorney at Davis & Company, 666 Burrard St vancouver BC. I will also be happy to send such persons accusing me of illegal activity a copy of my Notarized Fee Schedule and a BILL.

Am I particularly dense (see avatar) today? I have absolutely no idea of what Kevin (Estela) is talking about. Kev, please explain for those of us who are... denser... than others.

I am wondering what is wrong also. Is it so wrong to collect fatwood now?

In my area it is, so I don't. Other places — like where Bushy and crew live — it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I just know I'm missing something here — I just can't figure out what.

Here are some shots of the hardware, that we had along. (But we could be in trouble, because we stabbed these various cutting implements into that old stump and probably disrupted nature... :) )

People in Connecticut seem to be a bit meeker than people in the rural South. Banning a post about picking up dead wood? What is the world coming to?

Oh No, I found my first bit of fatwood today and I cut it up into little pieces to fit in my kit!! Will I be arrested for smuggling fatwood across inter-county lines in Indiana?
I better go into hiding.

Here's a video of the collateral damage. I mostly just took a video to try the video capability's of the camera. Was also surprised at how much the tail was wiggling. Salamander was behind an overhanging piece of wood that bushy whacked to sniff test. At first he saw the tail and thought it was a grub. Hopefully it will regrow, the salamander was playing dead (or actually was).

The ecosystem was practical destroyed, bounty in hand we go forth carelessly pillaging!

Seriously though. what you see in this picture was found within about 5 minutes. We left it and picked it up on the way back.

A couple points but first settle down or kindly leave. Moderators receive notice about threads when others confidentially report them. I can't disclose who or what was said in the initial report or pursuing E-mails. Depending where you are, taking or disrupting anything from the land may or may not be legal. "Raiding" as the title suggests doesn't quite sound like harvesting does it? Furthermore, there was no damage done with my initial reply and I'm erring on the side of caution looking out for Spark and the forums first. Finally, sassin' mods is against the forum rules but I don't care what was said about this to this point. Any personal or offensive posts from here out will get infractions.

I love this post, those comments by the dude that is raised by wolves are great  very funny lmao
