Faux stag antler- best and worst.

I had to get that second one out of the bin!

JB -I'm so sorry I didn't realise things had gotten so bad over there.
But I do need to ask -How did you know it was in there?

anybody got any faux stag that looks good?

Nice one SAKGuy- I'm afraid you won't get much credit though. That moulded beast is far too realistic and actually resembles a stag.
The faux antler is kind of natural looking with good colouring.
You do however pick up bonus points for having the only weird fixed blade- multi tool hybrid I've ever seen:thumbup:

What about this monstrosity from CK?

It is a monster and people think I"M crazy for adopting rescued snakes:D
I think you may be mistaking faux antler for faux drunken pizza vomit. It's a fine line, only an expert could tell, but there are subtle differences of colour and texture.

Because it was me who threw it in the bin! It came with a job lot, and is the only 'knife' I've ever consigned to the scrap pile, but with one blade snapped in half, and the other worn to a point, I really didn't think it was worth putting any effort into cleaning it, it's not even of any use for parts. The rust probably makes the plastic 'stag' look better than it did new! :D

This is an example of pre-WWII Robeson faux stag. I think it looks pretty realistic except for its lack of color variation.

I'm pretty sure this material is the same as or very similar to that used by Landers, Frary & Clark.

Finally getting around to show my two false stags. The right is my Richards like one above and to the left is a Buck California Toothpick. The Buck was a Smokey Mountains Knife Works special order. It came in jigged bone and "Staglon". 300
