Fave Beckerhead Flashlights for the outdoors?

Gave this to my best friend, but going to get another because it fits in your pocket nice and doesn't have aggressive knurling. Ultrafire 502-B from Amazon. 500 lumens for $15. Got the battery stuff from a Junction on the web that sells Batteries.

I like the idea of 500 lumens for $15. I also heard the tenergy batt/charger package is a good one. I've been using disposable batts in my PD31 and would like to upgrade. I use my flashlight a lot and those streamlight CR123's are great but $add up$ over time.

I'd save CR123s for emergency storage and use 18650s for regular use. Those ones pictured are 2600mah for about $6.95

I'd be a little wary of Ultrafire. I've had 5 of those, and the wiring in those sucks. So far they've all burned out on me, and become completely unuseable within 1-2 years.

Depends on which you get. The 502-B is one of their most widely used platforms, because it is a drop-in platform. The electronics aren't tied to the flashlight body. You could pick up a spare drop in module if you chose to. I don't know if they have them separately yet....yes they do. About $12 with a two week shipping wait (China). Or, for $14.26, which is what it is currently listed for on A-zon with my Prime shipping, you could just get another in two days.

500 lumen light that lasts 1-2 years, costs the same as a good lunch and is easily fixable? Don't see the down side here.

I might not choose UF as my PRIMARY light...as in, only one. Fenix or 4Sevens for that (Fenix is better on runtimes). But I wouldn't want to punch a wall if I lost one.

I really like my fenix e11. only 115 lumens, only 2 settings, but it runs on 1 AA and last the entire weekend in the woods with an eneloop. Small and light. but for the $25 price you could get more lumens.

And sorry i dont have a pic of a becker, i would of refrained from posting here but i see so many others without a pic- But i am picking up a becker today, just deciding still on which.

I just picked up a couple ultrafire 501b's for around $12 each. It easily outshines my 320 lumen Olight. Of course the olight is built better and the interface is night and day better, but at $12 I couldn't pass up another bright flashlight. :)

Fenix LD1 that just wont die, a Princeton tec Quad for my mellon, and sharks with laser beams.
