Favorite “peasant” knives

Peasant knives. Knives that are simple, relatively inexpensive and just plain work!

What are your favorite peasant knives?

Some examples of my favorites are the Douk douk, Opinel #8 and Victorinox SAK (i usually carry a Climber model.)

Honestly, putting ANY knife in my hands makes it a “peasant’s” knife, but I think my favorites are the Pallares Solsona ones:

These are the only knives I have encountered which cut better than an Opinel.
The olive wood handle is one I made. They do make wooden-handled ones, but not in the larger size I prefer, I don’t believe.

I have one like the one on the left. It’s nice and light feeling in the pocket and had a nice strong spring to hold it open.
