Hey fellow blade enthusiasts I just wanted to know what your favorite knives are that don't cost a fortune. For me it is the Kershaw Skyline. It is light, takes a razor edge and is just a great edc knife. What's yours?

The phrase "...that don't cost a fortune" can vary wildly from person to person. But, off the top of my head, mine are...

Rat 1/Rat 2
Utilitac 2
any Alox SAK
Kershaw Oso Sweet
Kershaw Tremor
Kershaw Chill
Enlan EL-01
Spyderco Tenacious family
Byrd Cara Cara 2 g10

Ontario rat's
Ontario utilitac 2
Spyderco tenacious
Coast FX350
Byrd line (my favorite is the hawkbill)

I'm a big fan of:
Victorinox Pioneer $40 ish
Ontario anything $50 ish
And
Kershaw Chives $30-$40 ish

Opinel No. 8, though the other numbers are nice too. Costs about $10.
Mora Clipper, again the others are nice as well. Costs about $12.
Svord Peasant. Haven't handled the mini. Costs about $15.

Of the knives I currently own the only one that really qualifies as a bargain knife would be my Buck 373 stockman. Its a $10 knife that i probably won't ever part with. Its so useful having three different blades in such a small package. The clip and sheepsfoot blades are my slicers and that spey blade is great for scraping.

I would also say Skyline, but mine really isn't a bargain version. Being a Frankenskyline its more in the $100+ range, at least what I've spent on the pair. But the regular version is one hell of a bargain. My brothers Rat one is a steel of a knife as well.

I would have to give it to the EL-01. $16 from a US re-seller for a 3.7" beast of a flipper. Now that is a bargain.

All Kershaws
All Moras
Rat 1 (haven't tried a 2; so it's just the 1 for now)
Spyderco Tenacious

Getting a little more expensive, I feel that Beckers, the Spyderco Delica and lw Manix, and BM Grip/mini-Grip are great bargains.
