Favorite bargain priced knive

Cold Steel Tuff Lite. I carry $200+ knives regularly, but that cheap little thing is so damned useful that it almost always rides sidecar. I think that's also the knife I've had the longest.

Besides the timeless Buck 110,this Kershaw Blackout blem is an outstanding bargain imho. Some people aren't big on the handle material but it's rugged and keeps the weight down. When they first came out I bought two of them at at police supply store for $79 each.Over 15 years later they're still great knives. Made in USA

Kershaw Thermite and the Kershaw Injection (3.5) are on the top of my list of knives that have absolutely impressed the crap out of me for ~$30 knives.

Probably the only thing that comes close (IMO) is the Tenacious series from Spyderco. I tend to try and get as much quality, fit/finish, upgraded materials, and overall beefiness/reliability under what I consider hard-use when I determine something as high-value for a budget knife.

There are lots of nice perfectly good folders in the budget category, but very few that I consider to be truly "high value" folders in that category.

I agree 100%. I just got mine a couple months ago, and it is the one I am always grabbing for EDC. It might just be the best designed utility pocket knife I have ever owned.

The Kershaw OD-2 is an underrated little knife with some decent F/F for around $15. It also has the most addicting little flipper, and its very smooth. This little guy is a sweet little backup.

Kershaw Tremor. It does everything right. Fits the hand right, great proportion, real nice assist on the flipper. just a very nice blade. It puts many more costly knives to shame.

Byrd Crow. Been using it for over a year almost daily and it works as well or better than any folder I've had. That includes CRK and $500 customs. The finish may not be the same and the steel could be better, but when it comes to a knife I want to use and not be concerned about the Byrd wins. Honorable mention goes to Spyderco Car and Tenacious.

This Is one I didn't expect to see but I agree with the most. The Blackout was my first knife, didn't think I would like the handles, but 3 years later and the knife still going strong, best $40 I ever spent, if you don't have one, don't be fooled by the lack of hype these have gotten, they are terrfifc, I prefer it over my leek

The Brown Mule, Opinel, and Svord Peasant. Of these, the Opinel has the most mass appeal, but I prefer the Peasant. The steel is better, and the knife is easier to deploy.
