For myself I'd choose the BK2 because it's the only Becker I own and I love the thing. Pretty sure there's not much I can't do with it.

I don't know. As long as he's making chili... you could always tether him to a tent pole. You'd have to use chain though. He carries sharp things.

My BK-7 has ridden with me in the truck or on the ATV for the past 6 or 7 years. Been a great knife, and handled about everything I've needed it for. Don't have another BK to compare it to yet, but I did order a 15, 16. and 17 this morning.

I have a 2, 9, 11, 13 and 16 sitting on my desk at home. If I had to grab just one before heading out into the wilderness, it would be the BK-2 with the BK-16 running a close 2nd.
