And the correct answer is.... 44 Magnum.
1. Shoots a bigger, heavier, faster bullet than anything on the list (excludes SW500, which is a novelty caliber)
2. Super accurate
3. Will kill anything in NA
4. When they needed a gun for Harry Callahan, there was only one choice - punk
5. You going to argue with Elmer Keith and Skeeter Skelton?

"The 250 grain bullet and 22 grains 2400 has now killed about every type of game on this continent and is wonderfully accurate to any range. Machine rest tests often showed five shots in one hole at 25 yards" Keith, Lyman reloading manual 1960

Hell, he was there!

I'll go .40 cal. Best of both worlds between 9 and 45. I shoot plenty of all three though.

Let's not forget that it will handle one of their other favorites...the 44sp.

I love my 357. I think it and 38 special should be together. I like being able to load some light 38 special rounds for someone new to plink with or if I really want to have fun I can shoot my 357 loads that push a 158gr Hornady XTP at 1400fps. I generally like all handgun calibers and can have fun with them all, but the 357 is just a blast for me.

Well, here is my philosophy on bullet calibers. I try to always buy something that our military is using, then you can just get ammo from the dead soldiers----OR----try to buy something that you honestly believe the people that are most likely to invade us will be using, then you can just get ammo from the dead soldiers. Yup, the US Army taught me that. Can't really go wrong with that. It would be pretty hard to find certain calibers in a JICSHTF scenario. That being said, my handgun calibers as of this moment are .22LR & 9mm. I am thinking of adding a .45 ACP to that line up as well.

I can't believe that a semi-auto is winning the poll. What a bunch of freaking mall ninjas...
We all know that revolvers are better, plus when you run out of bullets you can beat someone to death with them, so there ;)

I picked .357 but only because .45lc wasn't listed. I have my blackhawk shooting hard cast gas checked bullets that are for the .454 casull so fast that it bursts the blood vessels in my hand if I'm not wearing gloves. Really fun to rapid fire :-D
