I don't have pics of my current setup, it's kinda hokey anyway and I need to refine it. But I have a Kydex sheath and I just used a cheap nylon strap to sling it over my right shoulder across my chest and under my left arm horizontally. I can quickly get to it, use it, and put it away with just my right hand if I need to. I really like it because I can put the knife back in the sheath instead of setting it down or sticking it in a stump if I'm constantly going back-and-forth with it doing whatever.
I modded my stock sheath by folding over the belt loop to make it shorter. I've had it like that for s few years now, and have been pretty happy with it. It rides well, lets me sit down, and generally feels pretty good.

Trying to picture that. The blade is on your back or on your chest? Tip down or up?
The knife is under my left arm. Think of a shoulder holster for a handgun.
More-or-less. I have mine up high, almost in my armpit.

I use a Junglas sheath that River-8 modified with his cargo pouch and suspension system and then I made a baldric strap for it.

Kydex, strapped to a pack. Pit carry sounds good although the micarta could get a little ripe.
I'm rockin' stock grivory. Also, no rust problems after stippin' and pittin'.

I realized that I may not have explained it as well as I could have in the thread, so let me know if you have any queries. But, the whole mod probably took me under 45 min to do, and is readily reverted if the need to go back to a fully stock sheath is required.
I also usually carry it in my pack until I get to camp, then put it on my belt and leave it on until I go to sleep for the night.

Unless, of course I am carrying a BK-2, in which case the 9 and 5 stay with my gear or in the pack.

belt at the right hip, kydex with leather frog and a length of paracord for a leg tie with a cord lock
I like the looks of that one!
Out of curiosity, does anyone carry it scout style in the small of the back? That option would make better sense for me except, well, the knife ends up wider than me. Does anyone carry it on their back?
