Favorite blade length and weight in a folder

Lately, knives with a blade length of ~3.5" have captured my attention. With the exception of the large Sebenza, weighing 4.8 ounces, I generally like my knives to weigh at least 5.5 ounces for the smaller ones (~3.5" bl). I also favor knives with a 4.0" blade and over. For these around 6.5 ounces and up. Thosse are my preferences at least.

It seems that 3-3.5 inch blades are weight around 3 ounces is the most popular.I have to agree. Anything bigger than that is to much knife for me.

2.5" to 3" I like them heavy, if its over 3" I usually go for a lighter one with a pocket clip.

So small and heavy with clip off or no clip. Or large and fairly light with a pocket clip. If its big and heavy I'd just take my rc-3 instead

As big as possible without it getting in the way. I usually have big pockets, or carry my EDC in my bag so that's 5 inches. Weight doesn't matter, as long as it isn't incredibly heavy.

3.5" to 4" tops. I like to feel the knifes' weight, but I'm a large guy.
I like the feel of the buck folding alpha hunter and the cr umnumzaan

What sane person doesn't like those two? :D
Umnumzaan is out of my price range, but I really liked the way it feels. Handled it a few times.

I Love my Benchmade 710 D2 as a EDC carry blade but I recently aquired a benchmade 615 that may cause the 710 to sit in the safe for a while.. The 615 is alot more pocket friendly vs its older brother the 610 fullsize rukus and the 615 is alot alot more "sheeple" friendly.. :D The 615 is a blade worth checking out.

1.5 inch does 95% of what I need. Light in the pocket and not threatening in a non knife area.

They police are now doing random searchs with metal detectors in public spaces here now to find and remove knives

4"-5" and as light as possible without feeling flimsy. I like skeletonized liners (or none whatsoever) over FRN/Zytel :)

My ideal edc is a titanium framelock with a 3" Bos heat treated S30V blade and weighs 2.7 oz. Hey... That sounds just like my Buck/Mayo TNT. :D

I'm very sorry to hear that. I will pray for you Aussies tonight.

I've been kinda picky lately as far as buying new knives. My ideal blade length is 3.2-3.4 inches. I know its kind of wierd. As far as weight goes I dont mind too much but if it starts getting into the 7+ territory I might as well grab a fixed blade.

Dang, do they confiscate all knives, even slipjoints like peanut and victorinoxes? I am planning to travel down under and I cannot even think going without knife as I plan to hike with my friend who lives in Queensland. I know I'll leave all my Kershaw's and Spyderco's home but how its with slipjoints?

I like around 2,5"-3,5" and weight under 5 Oz for Urban folder and under 8 Oz weight with under 4,5" blade length in woods folder.
