What is your favorite blade length for overall use as a daily carrier? I know it depends on lifestyle and dress, I'm just asking in general (just to see opinions). 2.5" vs 3.25" vs 4" or larger?

Generally 3-5" though sometimes +
Current edc bounces between a custom by Michael Cooper which has a 4.5" blade and 9" o/a. Carried when in jeans, or in the bush. Otherwise it is a Benchmade Mini dejavoo with a 3.23 " blade and o/a of 7.69"

I was concerned that 4.25" was a bit large for every day carry (which what I assume you mean by EDC?).

3'' or just over I'd say.

I'm happier with longer or shorter (I frequently carry 2.5'' or closer to 4'') but around 3'' seems to be a happy medium for me.

The law says I can only carry 3-1/2", so that's what I carry. If it was purely up to me, I think a 5" fixed blade is just about perfect.

Between 3 and 4 inches.

At work, I usually carry the 3" knives (don't want to "scare" anyone). Out and about and on the weekends the 4" knives.

3in. for sure. Don't need anything over 3. If I wanted to chop down a tree, I would use an axe or chainsaw.

For me, the perfect size is somewhere in the 2.75 to 3.5 inch range. Any smaller and the handle gets hard to manage and any bigger and the tip gets hard to control.

That said, my EDC for the past three and half years has been a BM710, but I'm beginning to really want something smaller. I plan on ordering a Paramilitary in the next month or so.

In a folder, which is what I carry most, anything between 3 and 4 inches works well for me. On a fixed Blade, I like a 5 inch about the best except for fish fillet knives, there It has to be 6 to 9 inches blade.
