There are a look cool knife sounds..... Part of the fun of owning a knife.
I think my favorite is the Chu-chunck or an assisted framelock being flung open. My Dominator makes a nice solid loud sound that you just can't get with a lockback. Maybe a thick linerlock would do it too. What about the snap of kydex when you remove or replace it in it's sheath... Is that anyone's favorite....
What about the thunk of a throwing knife when you hit a piece of wood JUST right.........
So,.... what's you're favorite?
Oh.... and my least favorite has to the be the sound of a knife dropping tip first on a hard floor. Or even a soft floor, like wood or lineoleum.... because you just trashed the floor. :(

Framelock.

My SMF and Skirmish sound especially sexy.

Some liner locks too, like my SERE 2000.

My Spydie Chinook I (which is a lockback) makes a nice loud and crisp snap when it locks into place--louder and crisper than any frame or liner lock I've owned.

Nothing sounds better than a leaf-sprung switchblade.

My favorite sound is the sound of my Small Sebbie's thwack when it is locked open.

I've gotta go with my old cs kobum (kydex). I also like the gental click of an axis lock too though.

My three favorite:

1) Benchmade Axis flicking open
2) Any blade on a Victorinox snapping open/shut.
3) The sound of a fixed blade being yanked out of kydex.

My Camillus Heat when it snaps open or my SERE 2K when it opens. Both have this very solid sound. I also like that "click" when a Spydie lockback opens - it's a very positive sound. Give you that "solid quality" feeling:D Both my mini-grips are quite quiet on opening, but the sound of an Axis lock when it locks in the blade also imparts a very secure feeling:)

I also like the sounds of the Chinook II. Another good one is the BM140 comming out of a Kydex sheath and Axis of the BM 710.

Let's see, I like:

1. Fixed blades sliding out of kydex

2. The sound the liner makes on my GB when it opens

and

3. The sweet sound of a flipper framelock opening (especially, RJ Martin flippers)

Ahh...good times!!!

I agree with you on the Dominator.
My custom frame lock Pardue sounds good too, a little quieter, but solid and sure sounding.

The large lockback Okapi makes a pretty distinctive ratcheting sound upon opening or closing.
