Buck sure uses nice stag don't they ?For sentimental reasons, I'd have to say my favorite Buck is the 102 from the 70's that used to be my mom's hunting knife.
As far as a favorite Buck I've purchased, it would be my 1989 stag handle 501. I could stare at it all day long. It has great stag on it likeHickory n steel 's 305.
I love the flat grind of the older 305 and 309. I've got a early 90's 309 coming from the Bay, I love my current 309, but the hollow ground blades on it aren't my favorite, so I wanted to try an older 309 because I love my 1985/86 305.Buck sure uses nice stag don't they ?
I actually just saw and '89 309 in stag on Ebay that I thought about trying to score.
I'm not really into the 309,but that's really just because the most recent blades were ugly and I gave awy the 2010 example I had for that very reason.
The blades on this '89 example look great.
When I think of favorites, for me it's a matter of what I most enjoy admiring carrying and using.
If this thread were for the one you'd never sell...etc I have 2 absolute must keeps which are too sentimental and not worth enough to sell anyways.
