The NMFBM gets my vote for the best big Busse knife. If you can afford it get the LE version - its chopperesque beauty is stunning

BUT... you say you wanna use it "out in the field". If this implies a fair amount of hiking, I'd say the CGFBM is probably the maximum of weight an average person can tolerate. Therefore, it get's my vote for the best big Busse "out in the field" knife

If I had to pick ONE big Busse to actually carry and use, it would have to be the CG FBM. The FFBM is a bit heavy on the belt, the NMFBM is definately a chopping beast, but a bit heavy as well. the Bushwacker was a tough one not to choose due to its speed and weight.. and if I had to rethink this question, would probably go back and forth depending on the mood and where I was going to use it.. both are great blades, but the CG FBM is hard to beat for a weight/choppability trade off. here are my babies

I sure like my B 11. Weights less than some medium sized knives, but a good chopper. The handle feels perfect when I grab the knife. Any more, if a knife handle feels like I need to regrab or adjust my grip on the handle I am not interested in keeping the knife.

the b-11, or the fbm. the kzII is also a nice axe.

+1 +1,, Wassup Oger,,how goes it bro?

My vote goes to my Stripped Satined Basic11 :thumbup:, in my beautiful new milticam "Footlong" from Beth & Charlie @ Lost Mountain,,

Man I still can not get over how sweet that sheath is,,pulled the liner,,slid in the Basic11 in the BuyBrown sheath,,and what do you know,,, Fits Like A Glove!!,,drilled out one rivet @ the botton, slid in the clevis pin and Presto,,,one BIIIIIIG Grin on my mug :D:D
