Favorite Case Knife

For large size case my favorite is the full size yellow trapper in CV. The 6292 pattern is awesome as well.

OOOOHHHH! YES!!! WHY don't they still offer it with this and other handle options eh??? Like the composition of this shot, very clever. That jigged delrin or?

My favourite CASE? (Beer/Wine....:D:thumbup: ) Slimline Trapper gets the laurels but the Pen and Humpback Stockman close behind too.

I don't have any Case knife larger than a Sodbuster Junior, (received as a present from Woodrow), but I like it a lot :)

 
I only have two, this LG Stockman and a Trapperlock.
I like them both.

That Humpback Stockman is a GREAT knife! While I haven't carried mine for a while, it sits prominently on my desk serving as a nice momentary diversion from work throughout the day. I wish all of Case's knives were built to the same quality standard as this one. It's buttery smooth, and no half-stops either, which seems to accentuate that smoothness. At 3 5/8" it is the perfect carry size, and even though it packs 3 blades that are very useful in tackling a variety of cutting tasks, it is very compact. It just sits in your pocket without a bother until called for. It was quite a surprise when I fist got it.

My old Case favorites would have to be 4" Congress (6488) and a Half Trapper (6207). But the Case/Bose knives are my
new Case favorites...

Jason - gotta get me one of those Half Trappers. I've been looking at those for like 4 years but still haven't bought one!

I agree. So much like a Texas jack in a mini trapper handle. I gotta love it!

Excellent choice. I hope the bone ages the way it has on my Mini Copperhead. The scales went from nice but typical to nearly translucent. I love 'em now.
 
I have been carrying a med. stockman with chestnut bone and CV for about 4 years. It has never failed me. But I did get a peanut in yellow delrin with CV and it has been great as well, I carry on of those two everyday, but I warn they become addictive quickly. Any style, I love the CV blades for edcuse: they look great with some patina and take a blazing edge pretty easily. great steel in my experience, and rival the s30v of my spyderco blades, at least for practical everyday use and with regular tlc.. so, for what I actually cut, I love it, and have only bought cv case knives since I tried it 5 yrs ago.. sorry for the ramble, I get excited (slimline stockman get some pocket time, as does a lg. stockman is amber bone, both CV but the lg. stockman is heavy and large, but great with wood - best in a belt sheath for me..) - julian
 
I have more Copperlocks than any other Case pattern, but the Large is my favorite, followed closely by the Large Copperheads (loves me some half stops). Carry and use these for a while and you'll realize the attractions (if you don't have small hands).

Ed - Love your taste in knives. I'll send a strong "second" for the Mini Copperhead. These are classy, useful knives.
