For whatever reason I decided to pack light and only take one chopper with me (I also took my RH, but that always goes with me and it's a 'hawk so it doesn't really count) to go wail on my log this morning. Without thinking much, almost without thought, I grabbed my KZII...

Soooo, what's your favorite? If you could only take one with you, what would it be? Not necessarily the best all-rounder, but the most destructive :D

I like the KZII for brute wood destroying power. It doesn't have as much contact area or as long a reach as the bigger, machete sized choppers like the 1311 or NMFBM and it isn't as precise or dig as deep as the RH, but the area that you hit just explodes. I think I might be able to mince wood faster with the KZII than the RH, since it doesn't stick as much...

I had a TTKZ, but like my MO-FBM far better.

Have not tried the 1311 or my B10LE yet, but will later this winter.

I am quite partial to the CGFBM.

I will get some Pictures of my SHBM..... She is number one, close second is my asymmetrical Basic 9.....and my Fehrman extreme judgment.

And David Wesner reverse tanto Chopper and bill Siègle butcher knife chopper.

And satin battle rat.

In memory of my Rat Daddy........

Will anything dethrone the FBMCG? That is the question!! Or at least one of the questions :D

Satin NMFBM with hand shaped micarta handles is my favorite, but the NMFSH is starting to earn a place at the table as well.

My asym B-11 is my best chopper, CGFBM is a close second for my needs.

My favorite is my CG Aftershock Bolo, subtle recurve, zero edge

KZII if I am "Truck Chopping". I took the edge back and gave it a polished convex.

I will take my B11 if I have to hike any distance, or need to do more light limbing.

KZ2 for chopping....but only res-C handled choppers for long distance hiking and chopping

The Basic 11 does get some work in now and then, when I decide to venture deeper into the woods. Being lighter weight it is easier for my 4-wheeler to haul.
