Favorite Chopper?

Im thinking for versatilty the NMFSH le is it.

Of them all. I think it has the best balance and most user friendly when choked up. I could take it and a folder and be real happy.:)

I pack a Sarge 7 LE for lite hikes and it does great. I have made traps and a few lean to shelters with it. Works like a charm and is super lite.

Sweet, thanks for the opinions guys.

Looks like I need to try the B11...

I see people prefer the smooth hand shaped slabs on the NMFBM. I'd have thought the textured slabs would have offered more grip, especially when swinging such a large chunk of infi about.

Chris.

Nice job Jody

I'll have to go look around on my property for fallen trees, chopping at one big log for... ever... is kinda getting boring.

Is that pine?

Moab!!!!!!

I'm trying! Those things are hard to come by (not to mention more expensive than most of the cars/motorcycles I've bought). I'm hoping at Blade I'll have the resources and the opportunity...

I just thought, I'm going to need more money just in case I come across a Butaniku AND Moab...

I'd love to try out a MOAB, but for right now my favorite Busse chopper is my NMFBM with hand shaped micarta. My favorite non-Busse chopper is my Bill Siegle Hoodlum II.

B11 is my favorite - not the most destructive of the Busse line, but it can chop better than I can swing. Guess that is why I keep a saw and/or axe handy.

So far the CGNMFBM and the TTKZ are the better choppers. Both have a modified edge profile, however. Looking forward to trying the SY 1311.

OTOH, the Bark River Golok is darned impressive, as well.
