Favorite Color Scale Poll?

Anything "subdued"... black, grey, OD green, various shades of tan/brown, etc. Although sometimes bright orange is nice, too.

I prefer wood, titanium or leather. For the question though, I only wish the "brown" and "dark earth" G-10 were a darker brown. There needs to be a much deeper shade of brown for scales---most of the current ones are just tan.

Basically anything non-threatening, as I'm almost always around people that think less of knives than I do. I find that frequently means avoiding black handled knives, and particularly black bladed knives. For knives at home or at work, I like things that aren't conspicuous in my pocket (have a wood handled Boker Exskellimoor II in my pocket now). So I chose brown.

In the woods, I like things that are easy to find, but the color is always secondary to the other properties of the knife. Usually for a woods knife I can attach some sort of high vis paracord to it for a lanyard, or something like that. But for "high vis" colors, I like Orange, Blue, and neon Green (which is easy to find around here).

Blue blue blue! What can I say? It's my favorite color. I'm female so yes, color is a factor (although not a big one) for me when determining the desirability of a particular knife.

The "dark green" also sounds good.

I have more black handle scales than anything, but that's only cause it's the most common color. After black(and excluding wood), I have more blue scales than any other color. Ifr there's a knife I want and it comes in blue, I'll probably be getting it in blue. Green comes in second. I'll only get something with yellow, pink, or orange scales if there is no other color choice at all.

Just off the top of my head in blue I have the Spyderco Manix 2(both the S110V version and the translucent BD-1 one), Endura, and a Sprint Run Tenacious, Kershaw Chive, Scallion, Leek(3 in fact, regular blue, teal, and the "blue smoke" version), Blur(blue and silver twill), and Needs Work, Svord Peasant and Mini-Peasant, Opinel #8, Victorinox Midnight Manager, Condor Outback Machete, 12'' Mountain Knife, and "Multi Camp Knife", a couple of Rough Rider traditionals, CRKT Premonition(it's technically black and blue) and Ripple, a custom Buck 110 with Indigo Royalwood scales, Mora Companion, Lightning OTF auto, even a cheapy S&W one.

I voted "other." I've grown to love Coyote Tan. True CT, that is, that looks like a dark tan in certain lights but takes on an olive-ish hue in others. Like this sheath.:thumbup:

I voted for orange, but it really depends upon the knife.

Yup. It makes certain knives "pop".

I love the camo on my PM2, military, zancudo, bravo Necker, preacher scaled 550, and aegis. I think camo is the way I would go. Though, the midnight tiger on my bravo 2 is sick. The main thing is that I have moved away from plain Jane black.

Def loving the DigiCam. Midnight, Blue/Black, and Green/Black Tigerstripe are awesome on fixies!

CT blends nicely when attached to the outside of a Coyote or camo pack.
