Original Old Timer knives, made in the USA with 1095 blades. One of the most popular brands in the history of American knives, last produced in 2004.

I'm with ya, Bob. Only now do I realize how spoiled I was to be able to pick those up handily at my local hardware store for a good price.

Also, Benchmade AFCK and the Spyderco Jess Horn models.

Most Al Mar fixed blades. Particularly Shadow IV, Special Warfare, SF-10, Grunt, Pathfinder, Quest, Applegate dagger and their series of Japanese style tantos.

Military Fluted Ti with the dark Ti handle. The newer ones with the silver handles are nice but the dark blue Ti is gorgeous.

Also ,the BM-HK 14255 Tanto.

My pick would have to be the GERBER UTILITY BOWIE. This is one tough blade. I used one as a camp knife for years and never found it to be lacking in any task I put it to.

Another vote for the Kershaw Groove 1730, with the Cyclone 1630 tanto also being quite awesome in my opinion.

  • Kershaw RAM
  • ZT 0500 MUDD
  • Benchmade Skirmish, Mini Skirmish, Apparition
  • HK 14250
  • Spyderco ATR, Chinook

Gerber Yari, the original one, plain edge. I have one I use and one in storage.

Cold steel mini bushman. Great knife and I bet if they did it again it would sell big time.

I would probably say at current, the Spyderco Starmate. I am lusting after one of them, just gotta find the right unmolested, unused example.
