Favorite Factory AR-15

US Soldiers qualify and win battles with the GI Trigger, practice is the key.

I won't argue that point, but they still suck. I guarantee that the rifles use by the Army Marksmanship Unit do not have stock triggers.

Why deal with a 6 pound, gritty trigger when you don't have to?

I prefer to build my own lowers however a noveski or larue upper build is hard to beat! DD Lite quad rails are my favorite

Here's mine. Nothing fancy. It doesn't have the ACOG anymore. I replaced it with a Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 1.5-5x20mm. I liked the ACOG, but the eye relief was very short and it kept
hitting my glasses. I also needed a bit more power.

Brand loyalty is great, but let me relate something that happened to me a long time ago. I was at a gun shop that had a display case with a dozen or so custom knives. I was looking at them and man walked up to me and said, "Cooper makes the best knives in the world." Since I was a lot younger, I asked if he ever heard of Loveless, Moran and a few other top makers. He said that he never heard of them, so I asked him how he knew that Cooper made the best knives in the world if he never heard of or held any other maker's knives? That pissed him off and he walked away. Since then, I have learned that it is best to just smile and nod like I'm are agreeing.

My point is, if you haven't tried another brand, how do you know that Brand A is the best?

I would expect that that LaRue, Daniel Defense,LMT, Bravo Company, Spikes, etc. would make good guns. They charge enough, especially the first 3. The main reason that I bought the BCM is that they have a good reputation and I got a pretty good deal. (Under $1000 NIB) If I could have bought any of the others at close to what I paid for the BCM, I'm sure that I would have been just as happy with it.

I've shot a bunch of differant ar variants.
I own a few. Colt, and Bushmaster.
Bothe work great, point is, its more about how its made than the name on the side.
Except DPMS. Cant stand them.
Get what you can afford and make sure it works.
the reasen SF boys use the HKs and others is the amount of use they get and access to the cash.

:rolleyes:Reading the spec sheet will easily determine the best materials, coatings and testing performed. A little knowledge and some research will allow you to expose overpriced, under equipped rifles competing with quality rifles on the market WITHOUT TRYING ANOTHER BRAND. Learn these terms and study why they are important.
