Favorite female knifemaker?

How could you forget the AMAZINGLY TALENTED Frontsight? Her very own Hideaway knife is an example of the way quality, design, & performance should be in all knives! Not to mention her extraordinary customer service!

Are you serious? You would put FS above Dellana, heather harvey, Audra Draper, and Harumi Hirayama? I mean, I like both her stuff and herself, but still.... :confused: :confused: :confused:

Two things:

1) The title of this thread is: "Favorite female knifemaker?". Not "Who do you think is better" or "Who might be the best female maker" or "Where do you rate female makers" or some such. Front is my favorite female maker.

2) Frontsight built her own business from scratch. When people told her she coundn't do it. She did it anyway. And she continues to do so. Successfully! I dare you to find someone dissapointed by her product. By her customer service? You won't find one. PERIOD.

I won't rate any of these fine ladies, listed in this thread, in any order: They are all in a class by themselves. Surely Frontsight deserves a place on that list?

We can agree on that? Cool?

I thought it was clear it meant favorite as far as knives are concerned, that's why I said in the 1st post "Who's your favorite female knifemaker (that is, whose knives do you prefer - let's keep this focused on knives...)"

FS has a lot to be proud of, and I have a lot of respect for her. As a knifemaker, I don't think she's anywhere near that class, but whatever.
 
It's nice to know that there are so many good women knifemakers out there. I shall be keeping a sharp lookout for their knives. :)
