Favorite fixed Blade Under 6 inches and 75$?

Looks very nice, seems like it'd be sturdy....very sturdy.

Would 1 of those really be better than having two of these though?

Seems it's twice as expensive as the Ontario I currently have so that just popped into my mind.
Not sure of the dimensions or cost of the Ontario pictured, but it appears to be over 6" and I thought this thread was "Favorite fixed blade under 6" The TAK-1 is a rugged, no frills knife. $60 in 1095 carbon steel, takes a keen edge.:D

Well just for clarification I mean the blade to be under 6 inches. The model I have has a sharpened blade section just around 6 inches, so I'll let it slide. :P As far as price goes, they're easy to find online for under 30$, I bought mine for 35$ at a store.

It's a great knife. Can grip further back and use it to chop pretty well. Durable sucker, I'll put it up to most anything. I believe it uses the same steel as the TAK.

I'll keep my eye out for that knife though. The handle looks very comfortable on it and I enjoy the aesthetics.

I found an old Benchmade Nim Cub in ATS34 on eBay last year, and it is my truck FB in addition to my CS Bushman. Not really a beater like the Bushman, but it's my favorite small.

I'll echo the Swedish Army knife, the Frost's Mora and the Falkniven without hestitation or reservations.Absolutely great knives. The IJ 1244 shown I'm not familiar with but it sure got my attention. What do they normally run and where can I pick one up. That's a really nice looking blade.....

Thanks ebbtide, the funny thing is..I build traditional boats on the side once and awhile-working and pleasure craft- as well as open ocean row and sea kayak, so the paddle connection got my attention since I also make those for myself (mostly rowing). Thanks for the info link. Looking forward to a few of those scandi's.
