Get one and you'll love it. They really have to be held in the hand to understand why people love them. I'd recommend canvas micarta for a user, it's grippier than G10 or linen or paper micarta, but BRKT's canvas micarta is way nicer than anyone else's because they polish the hell out of it. It's still grippy, but smoother and better looking. BRKT's micarta also doesn't absorb sweat or anything else like the more absorbant micarta on other knives.
 
My favourite is this fixed African Blackwood beauty made some time ago by Bud Weston.
The blade is 5 inches, 9 1/2" OA with African Blackwood scales, tapered tang, file work and engraving by European artist Ms.Vlada Kilhavcova. Bud also made the two piece sheath. I was told that this was the first knife he made that convinced him to continue with full-time custom knife making.
