favorite fixed blade

I'd have to pick one of my Bark Rivers, I just don't which one. Probably the Northstar or Bravo-1.

No such thing. There are too many that I really love, from the classic handmade Tommipuukko to the brute that is the Busse Fat Fusion Battle Mistress. I'm a fixed blade kind of guy. Now, if this would also include swords, then yeah, I would have just one favourite that trumps all others. But I'm guessing it's about knives. ;)

Small: Bark River Mini-Canadian
Medium: Bark River Canadian Special - or the Northstar or the Fox River
Large: Bark River Golok

simple whats ur favorite fixed blade knife, right now my fav is the microtech currahee but could be subject to change im still looking(gots to spend my moneys wisely now) so go on say what cha like

ZT0100 beats everything I've owned in the past & everything I own now.:)

I built mine up from a Saji Kiridashi hand forged blade of white steel. It has 7 layers of steel for the strength, and I wrapped the handle in a traditional manner. My trout knife is the Mcusta MC-61D 33 layer damascus and VG-10 core. If I had to choose one and one only it would be a Krein D-2 drop point. When it comes to field dressing a deer, I still work with my old Buck.

That's a tough one to answer. I would have to say the busse batac...my bravo 1 is a very, very close second.:thumbup:

That's an easy one, for me. Nothing else I have comes close to my Graham Brothers Razel. S30V steel, desert ironwood scales, it's both beautiful and amazingly functional.

Doesn't getter better than this. ;-)

Not being much of a fixeblade person, I can probably answer this question a bit more accurately................or can I?:eek:

Only have two fixed blades;

1- Browning Barker/Crowell Competiton Chopper

2- Entrek Cobra

Of the two I really like the Cobra. It is small but stout with a 440C blade that is 4.0" X .187", and an oal of 8.6". The kydex sheath is a hi-ride sheath that I nodified into a higher-ride sheath that rides very comfortably above my right hip and is quick to access. Entrek does their 440C heat treat the correct way and what you get is a very good steel with great corrosion resistance. This is just a great little knife with it's clip point, sharp edge, and easy to carry characteristics.

Now, if I was out in the woods lost........................................................................:)

My favorite fixed blade is a Tommy Gann Hunter, with black ash burl.
