Favorite Folder Blade Steel

I don't own any of the exotic super-steels (yet). For now, VG-10 works very well for me. I think it offers a price/performance ratio that's hard to beat.

I have a Large Timberline Workhorse. The knife is great for the price.
Blade is 440? steel, chinese. I really like the knife, but with the edge lasted a bit longer.

I wish the blade was made of the VG-10 that Spyderco has in thier knives.

n960 on my monochrome has treated me well, very easy to sharpen, and it has yet to rust, can't ask for much more on a 30$ knife.

I probably have more folders with S30V than anything, but thats not my favorite. I really enjoy touching up my blades. Probably more often than needed. That being said, AUS-8, 420HC, BG-42 are my favorites for the simple reason, I can make the knives I have in those steels pretty sharp. S30V is a great steel and I do alright getting an edge, but the others I mentioned have always been my favs!:D

I can't believe I forget VG-10, it is one of my all time favorite steels by far....

Even though they're not steel, I like Stellite 6-K, Boker's Cera Titan, and Kyocera's Zirconium Carbide ceramic. I also like S90V, S110V, and ZDP189.
