Favorite folder makers?

I love that Don Hanson tri-blade.

tri-blade, tells you how little I know about folders.

Speaking of Hanson, where the heck does all that AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA grade ivory come from?

PS: Hey, I still do not know all the patterns and I have been collecting over 42 years.

These 'favorites' from my collection represent makers who are especially well known for their folders. They are all in the over $700 category. They share the two qualities I love to see in a folder:
- Very high level fit & finish, approaching perfection
- Unique and recognizable style

I love your images Buddy. Great looking folders as well. I check out your photo site often.

I own this folder and keep considering buying its 'brother'. What do you think?

This is the other. Obviously the blade is damascus and has mammoth ivory instead of walrus.

Think I should finally do that at blade if I have a way? Or look for something different?

That would be a nice addition, but I'll bet you'll have some similar to these to look at on Don's table, also. Could turn you into a slipjoint guy? :D

Then, there will be around 399 other custom tables to browse by. I will be interested in seeing what you bring home.

I think you just boosted MS in the national standing of ??? AL & MS have long shared the bottom of most national standings. I say we are now close to #1.
Thanks for Sharing,
