favorite folder w/ blade < 3" cost<60 ???

If you are going to carry a steel blade in a high moisture/humidity environment you really should practice preventative maintenance unless you carry a H1 blade or any of the "rust proof" blades. I use a tuf-cloth on my users it works very well. It is Easy to use and keeps my blade from rusting/staining.

IMO, the Native is one of the best pocket clip knives made. With it's S30V steel and it's light weight, it is one of my favorite 'go to' knives.

Gerber Harsey Air Ranger Light knife with the aluminum scales, very grippy, corrosive resistant with AUS 8. Definitely better options in that price point but I just liked it and love using it now.

Spyderco Native or Delica. Tips are strong, and the steel (VG-10/S30V) rocks.

id take a mini grip with a thumb stud and an...orange handle. no, blue

then again...id probably take a delica...

hard choice for me

The Kershaw Skyline is a tad longer (3.13" blade) than your original parameters but if you can cope with this, I suggest you give it a shot. It is a nice, handy little knife with superb flipper action and elegant lines. It handles my light EDC tasks well. IMHO it is a steal at ~30 USD retail price.

I can get away with the BUck MAntis as well...light weight and durable....plus i got mine for 9.99...

I am a big fan of H1....it really is great stuff.
