I am jealous of this knife!! Beautiful:thumbup:

I don't have a large 21 right now, but this will help some folks who have difficulty knowing what we're talking about.
From top to bottom: Zaan (Dec 2010 and pre-LBS), 25, Regular and Classic. The handle design of the 21 (scale cutout) is quite similar, IMO, to the Classic.
I've included a pic of my small model 21 with box elder for the sake of handle (scale cutout) comparison.

The real experts here can talk about blade design. I cannot. I tend to classify the Sebbies using grip design.
BTW, I threw in the Zaan as it is also a beaut of a design.

I think most of the people that have the 21 winning have never handled a large regular.

I agree with this analysis, but it is not the case for me. I have owned both. Still have the 21, Dino owns the reg now. I just prefer the sleekness of design in the 21. Now, in the small it is reversed, I prefer small regular over small 21.

They are pretty much exactly the same knife bar some fairly large and obvious text that many don't like. That may or may not be the reason
the 21 is winning over the Classic. The Regular does clearly win over them all though, I'm sure some people just clicked the wrong option by accident. :p

Reg:thumbup:

I agree fully and good to see you about old chap. :)

The 25 has been in my pocket since I received it...that's gotta say something. I don't love everything about the 25 but it gets my vote!

In fairness I have never owned a regular...:grumpy:

Nope! I do have both and I voted for 21 for its current blade steel, thinner edge thickness, hole for the ball in the blade instead the hollow, and ergonomics. But thats all concerned Small versions. I don't have larger versions because I don't like this form-factor :D

I'm actually not wild about the ergos of the Regular (YMMV), but the deeper belly on the large Regular is a big plus - so that was how I voted.

I've only owned one. A large regular I bought in 94 or 95. I lost the birth card, but the box has a 1995 sticker on it. It has no pocket clip:was not drilled for one. I don't know the blade steel either and there are very few markings of any kind on it. I've carried it a few times but never used it. Now its a drawer queen. It is the smoothest opening blade I've ever owned. I love, love, love it. Does anyone know if this would be considered an original Sebenza or not? I don't know much on their history. Also, Would this knife be an original (p), or a Regular. Thanks.

Top ones a Original P, bottom is an LDC Regular (same as the regular but with the groves).

Insingo for me. If I had to sell all but one knife, the large plain jane version would be the one that stays in my pocket. Very utilitarian blade design imho, can't say enough good things about this version of the Seb.

Thanks dinikay for the pictures. Mine is like the top (original), but there is no 'p' marking? Just has the 'cr' stamp.

I know that when they made the switch (omitting the p) they gave you the option to have a clip or not. I've never seen an original without the clip, is it possible for you to post a picture? I would love to see an original (none p) without the clip.
