Favorite genre of knife?

I've been spending the last few weeks adjusting to balisong life, and I'm actually beginning to really consider it a viable alternative to even my favorite knives as an EDC.

So the question is--what is your favorite genre of knife? Examples might be fixed blades, balisongs, folders, neck knives...feel free to be hugely general or entirely specific.

Just curious.

Tactical folders with big blades. I like the assisted openers, right now I'm looking to get a new spyderco.

hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm. lets go with my favorite being fixed/folder. I haven't used or even held a butterfly knife yet so i don't know if i like them or not

Folders, 3 to 4 inch blade, double finger choils, one being 50/50 with the blade, flatgrind, durable, grippy, synthetic handle material (preferably G10 or canvas Micarta), thumb hole, framelock, lockback, or compression. Yeah, I demand a Spyderco for the most part.

I make my stack out of HI khuk's/bowies/swords.

For folders mostly liner locks because well my fav styles are usualy exclusive to liners. There is not a thing wrong with a proper liner lock, I'll say that much.

Hard to say since I buy and like all kinds of knives. Perhaps drop-point hunters.

Your standard locking folders and also slipjoints. I can't narrow it down to one.

One day when I get a good balisong, I suspect it will replace standard locking folders.
