What kind of grind is you guy's favorite for bushcraft? Convex, scandi, hollow, full flat, etc.?

I prefer full height convex for most outdoor knives. Have a few scandies since I'm Norwegian, but usually prefer convex edges.
My most used outdoor knives are from Bark River.

Beyond that any full convex is a stronger knife and easy to sharpen once you forget the instructions your grandpa gave you on sharpening flat ground knives.

LOL

:D

Convex is awesome. I like to use my knife in either hand. A scandi grind limits that.

Fallkniven uses a convex man it is great!

Flat grind, standard 2nd edge. Just what I am used to and not as fat as a convex grind which makes it easier to sharpen later on for me anyways.

For right now I prefer convex ground blades. Easy to sharpen and very strong. I have yet to try a scandi ground blade but will soon I hope.

This is what I prefer - but I'm still a convex/scandi virgin.

I definitely prefer full flat against hollow ground. There are a lot of sharpening widgets out there for the standard v-bevel which gives me a sense of familiarity.

I can't decide which next knife purchase will be convex a scandi.....But it will be one of those. I will probably go with a couple of moras just to test drive the scandi's out.

Sure wish I could show you guys how easy a convex grind/edge is to sharpen. You'd really be surprised. Brian Jones knows. I was able to show him this weekend. It's just to hard to explain, easier to show hands on.

I've only had limited experience with a scandi grind but it seemed to have an advantage with slicing wood, it grabbed quickly and could shave very thin curls. However, when I thin down my convex blades they are a close equal to the scandi I was using. I've been freehand sharpening for years and find the convex method to be about the easiest to master. If you freehand your scandi will end up convexed anyway. I always finish my blades with stropping, which really is just a high polish convex.

Im hooked on convex lately. I can get a heck of an edge on one very easy. I do like the scandi though, but my fave is definately convex.
