there seems to be a very large following of convex grinds on bf. i have held very many hair splitting convexed blades, but none as sharp as an excellent hollow or flat ground blade. i guess that would be one reason i prefer hollow grinds. whats your all time favorite?

Full convex, or at least a convexed edge.

My sharpening skills are still being honed; I can get a flat bevel just a bit sharper than a convex, but I still prefer the convex.

Hollow, although the cutting ability of the spyderco military that I just got may change that.

At the moment, it is Full Flat. Soon, I think it will be a convex after I hone my sharpening skills a bit.

FFG for me thanks. Spyderco has spoiled me, and now I can't look at a knife without thinking "Hrm... that would look so much better if it wasn't hollow ground."

Huge huge fan of the Full Flat Grind. Tom Krein's thin, flat grind is absolutely amazing, but a deep, high, hollow grind runs a very very close second.

Was a fan of really high/wide hollow grinds (still kinda am), but I'm starting to enjoy flat ground blades, full or near full flat grinds.

+1 This is my thoughts exactly, only I have not had the pleasure of using a knife that Tom has worked his magic with, hopefully this will change soon.

I use different grinds for different purposes, but if I could only choose one it would be full flat with a small convex edge.
