Favorite handle material

Sheep horn has always got me, but I've yet to get a folder with that material.

I have a folder on order with Paul Lebatard that will have a D2 Blade and sheep horn scales but not sure when it will be ready.

I like G10 and micarta for a tactical knife. Cocobolo is nice. Stag too.

I like Stag for the look. But for hard use, I.M.H.O., Micarta is the way to go.

Carbon fiber is awesome looking not to mention its a very strong material. Agree it has to be finished correctly or you cant see the weave well. I really like brass bolsters or gaurds and wood, reminds me of my old buck

Cant forget about stacked leather !

Well for pure looks, I love sheep horn (for folders only for some reason). For hard use, I like micarta (which when grooved and styled properly looks REALLY great as well IMHO).

It depends.... on a tactical/hard use knife, Micarta or G-10. On a dress knife... let your imagination run wild.

Of course it depends on the knife but I would have to say my all time fave material is purple heart (amaranth). that wood is just flat out awesome.--Mykl

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

for tactical knives, carbon fibre, hard coat aluminum too, i like the feel of the hard coat and it doesn't tear my pants aparts like G-10 (i'm so sick of G-10). For fancy knives, I think ivory is nice, wood can be really nice too!

Where folders are concerned I like carbon fiber for a daily user and mammoth ivory for a knife that is more along the lines of presentation piece.

Joe Cop, for the record, I too would prefer it if Matt were to try and refrain from using the words "crusty" and "crotch" in the same sentence.

Exotic woods, nice horns/stags, or Ti! Aluminum only because of MT, but if I could get a Ti handled CTII I would!

Depends upon the use, I would love to see some Whitewing patterns in Pearl (white, gold, black, brown) (only because it has not been mentioned).

Beat me to it, Gus! Pearl is my favorite.

My favorite "duty" material is linen or rag micarta.
