As someone who discovered the allure of Kershaw knives fairly recently, I thought it would be interesting to find out what knives in particular really have a hold on you as individuals.

I'm going to make this hard: You can only choose one knife in current production, and one discontinued knife, from any era.

If you can expound upon why you chose these one or two particular knives as your favorites, that would be great. And of course, pictures never hurt, especially of discontinued knives I (or we) might not be familiar with.

My favorite discontinued knife is the Kissing Crane Lockback. it is such a precise little piece of classical design. Maybe kershawguy has photos.....

My favorite now is my Small ENR-g..... it represents just how far Kershaw has come in 20+ years.

All time favorite is the Kershaw Ken Onion Random Task (Currently MIA).

My current favorite is Aluminum Handled Speed Bump; great knife overall. It's a workhorse!

Favorite current production would be the Tyrade, any shock there?!?!:D

Favorite out of production would be the hawkbill looking knife, Talon maybe? Never had one but always liked the looks. I'm also a recent convert to the Kershaw lineup.

My current favorite is the Random Leek. A well proven knife design with the handiest blade shape out there. My discontinued favorite would have to be the Random Task. Same very useful blade shape, Ti liners and polished G10 round out the package very well. Sometimes it seems like the early Onions have more soul than the current line up. Don't get me wrong I really love 9/10 of the current line up. Its just an observation.

Favorites today are the Spec Bump and S30V Blur. A tie for "favorite". :)

Also really liked the Splinter, a great EDC.
Slim, light, ultra sharp and beautifully made.

Since I can't pick my Giants JYD2,

my favorite Current Kershaw is the Shallot, but the RAM is a contender!

Favorite discontinued Kershaw is the BORON LEEK, with the Ti Bump next in line.

My favorite Kershaw:

Past...Moose Hunter.
Present...Cyclone.

My favorite folder, period...ZT 0200.

Past...My Random Task hands down. It's one classy
well built knife that serves it's name....pretty much
any task you throw at it.

Present...RAM. It's solid, smooth, perfect size and a boat
load of fun to open and close. Fit's my hand perfect.
It took the place of my TiZDP Leek as my primary EDC.

Titanium ZDP Mini-cyclone is my favorite one. I guess because it was limited, and now they're hard to get, it is also my favorite discontinued one.

Ok Ok, lemme see.....

Current production favorite has to be the R.A.M.

Favorite discontinued model is the Mini Task! Love that blade shape and polished G-10 is a modern classic in my eyes!

Cheers,
Jonny

I'm sorry...this is too hard...;)

I can't choose only one current-production or one discontinued model...there are just too many I like...decision making at its poorest on my part I suppose...:D

SG2 blur. It was gifted to me and will stay with me untill it gets passed down to my son with my estate.

Favorite older model? The Ti Talon. I just picked up one a few weeks ago. It surprised me to find it still in stock at a store on the net. I had to scarf it up. Joe
