Favorite Kershaw Knife?

My favorite Kershaw is one I just got yesterday. It's a customized Bump. Used to be green, now it's been bead-blasted down to bare Ti. The blade has been reprofiled to remove the recurve.
All these mods were done by the previous owner, not by me (which is also where these photos came from).

My first Kershaw was a Scallion - then a Blur - over six years ago. I'm a knife-slut - fickle to the core. A year ago, it was the Japaneese 'Gentleman's Folder' in VG-10. Then, along came the JYDII CB. Late last spring - a JYDII in Ti/SG-2 - my current favorite - and most expensive.

My Kershaw R.A.M. hands down is my favorite knife.

Number two is my new G10 Tyrade

Plus the 5 other Kershaw's and one ZT0350

Still waiting for the RAM III

What the hell!?!? That took some serious guts to mod that knife:D How did the original owner do on the grind with the blade modification? Also, how do you like the blade without the recurve?

I have a couple of Ti Bumps that I love. Can't imagine ever taking a bead blaster of grinder to either of them!

Is that a box of Short Story cigars?
Well, to be honest....I don't know. I don't smoke cigars, just happen to get some cigar boxes from a friend because I liked cigar boxes. Nice to store little items in. Are Short Story cigars considered "worthy"?

:o Well if you ever try them, you should try a AF Short Story. One of the best 45 minute smokes. :)

Nice Leek too.

I don't know how he did the blade, but I'd imagine on a belt sander. Personally, I could go either way in terms of blade shape... some folks are AGAINST recurves with a passion, but not me, nor am I obsessed with them. I think this blade profile is a little more convenient for me, though, and for the uses I have for this tool.
I think it looks way sleeker, though.

...i don't think you can call it a Kershaw anymore with that big a mod of the blade, and you certainly can't call it a Bump...but if you dig the removal of the recurve, good for you...

having said that, the mod work done on the blade is pretty clean; i think it took skill to make it look balanced...and i do like the removal of color from the Ti handle...

I've always been partial to Blurs, JYD 2's, and Shallots. When I try to pick a favorite my mind begins to short out though.

For some reason I've begun to pull the trigger on a Gents knife several times. It's always fell through so far. I want one bad but I'm beginning to think it's a unicorn for me.

One day I'll get it.

I might have to try one. But, last time I smoked a cigar I got so nauseous that I swore them off.:barf:

That Leek was my most oft carried EDC, but it has somehow disappeared.
My Kershaw that has probably seen more use is my orig. Needs Work. I have found it to be a very functional knife, that takes a good edge, and cheap enough that I don't mind abusing it a bit. How come it is always the more expensive ones that we lose?
Would love to try the new G10 Needs Work.
