Well it sucks not having the ability to search threads, but I haven't seen a thread like this here in a while so I thought i'd give it a go.

Post up your favorite Kershaw and feel free to give stories,lessons,or anything else we may find interesting. Of course, pics are a must!

Unfortunately, my favorite is also my only :grumpy: but it's a gorgeous Kershaw Nakamura. I have a Groove waiting for me in the mailbox at home, but I'm actually currently in the Philly airport waiting for my plane so I cant test that out yet. Anyway, the Nakamura is a sweet Gents knife with a very smooth action and nice quince wood and the layered copper is awesome. I love it!

I trust you don't have the Nakamura with you, if you're at an airport! Hate to see that one on ebay as a confiscation... :eek:


...on the other hand, I don't have one yet, so... :D
 
Favorite Kershaw? Are you kidding!?!?! How the heck am I supposed to pick just ONE Kershaw as my favorite? The most ridiculous question I have ever been asked!!:D:D

Titanium JYDII SG2 does come to mind though;)

Agreeing with jm, it's very difficult to pick out just one. To make it easier for me, I'm gonna break it down into three categories:

Best Safe Queen: Blur 1670S60V

Best EDC: Tie between the ENER-G II 1745 and the Blur 1670BRNSG2

Best Overall: Mini Cyclone 1636TIZDP

Depending upon the US Mail, this list is always subject to change, except for the Blur 1670S60V! It's gonna take something really special to knock this one off. :D

I'm glad you didn't ask about the ZT line!

And btw...your Nakamura is beautiful! :thumbup:

this is a great list. i actually prefer the smaller ener-g for EDC and i had to add the R.A.M because for some reason i can't not have this one with me.
 
Offset is my fav safe queen. i am currently customizing my Lahar, so it is up there for sure.

fav user is a hard one. my JYD2 has prolly seen more action than any of my knives, from yard work to steak cutting.
 
My favorite Kershaw folder is the plain old Groove...(Yah, the Groove took over the Cyclone as my favorite...:D.).
My favorite folder is the ZT 0200.
 
Mine would be the G-10 S30v Leek, may try a blade swap and make a G-10 Damascus. On the kitchen side, I'd have to give a hardy :thumbup: to the Shun Paring knife.
 
My all time favorite is the Random Task.

Alright well I finally got home and opened the Groove.

I think this might easily overtake the Nakamura cus its freaking awesome! It has much more practical and utilitary uses than the gents nakamura and will be in my EDC. Now I know why everybody raves about this knife, because it is great! I also feel that it would do well in the kitchen due to the grooves and will keep food from sticking to the blade.
 
Whoo Hoo!! I smell the makings of a classic Kershaw sub-forum off topic trainwreck!!!:D We haven't had a good one of these in a while, and with some of the recent thread tensions, I think it' just what we need!!;)

Back on the subject now, the more I think about it today, the more I am really feeling like my new all Black ENER-G II is going to quickly become one of my all time favorites for EDC. Love it, love it, love it!!:thumbup: From what I understand after talking with TGG, once the current stock of gray G-10 handles with trac-tec is gone, ALL ENER-G models will come with the fine textured black G-10. Perfect!

I am glad to hear future ENRG knives will have the black textured G10. I have just ordered the all black 1740 ENG and am looking forward to it. I don't care for the trac tape ? on current ENRG but I love that model. Cuts and slices great. I can't name one favorite as I like the skyline, Ram and ENR.

Mine is a SG2 Blur, given to me at a difficult time in my life. The knife itself is beautiful, and showed me how sharp SG2 can get. I had 2 or 3 blurs already and helped convince me to collect Blurs also.

I'll never sell or trade that blur. It's going to go with the rest of my estate to my one and only son. Joe
 
+ 1 on the SG2 Blurs Joe...if ya like a true slicer, check out the ENER-G! You can get an amazing egde on these puppies!
